First of all, you will select the material that you're looking to find the pressure ratings for. For instance, you can use the table for 316 stainless steel and also what's available on the catalog. are called derating factors for using those material combinations at elevated temperatures. As an example, if we work on 316 stainless steel and we work at a temperature of, say, 300 degrees C, you can see that the derailing factor for that would be 0.85. So if we use the example we did earlier, which was a zero quarter-inch OD with a 0.049 wall thickness in 316 stainless steel, you will see from your standard tube tables that the pressure rating for that was 7500 PSI at an elevated temperature of 300 degrees C.

When we use the durability factor of 0.85, which gives us an overall working pressure of 6375 PSI.
